The City Council encourages
and welcomes your input.
In an effort to keep the public involved
and educated about grant processes, public hearings are routinely
held before an application is ever submitted for most grants.
At these hearings the public can hear reports involving the details
of the proposed projects. An opportunity is also provided in
these hearings where you may voice your views, wishes, and concerns
involving the proposed project.
One of the most common misconseptions by
the public is that when a grant is awarded, the City can do whatever
we want with the money. Nothing could be further from the truth.
We must do what we said we would do in the proposal. |
